Anthropic's Claude CoWork Lets AI Fiddle with Your Files—But Devs, Grab Rube to Sidestep Token Hell and Zap 900+ Apps Sans OAuth Nightmares
Anthropic has launched Claude CoWork, a research preview available in the Claude Desktop app for Max subscribers, allowing users to automate tasks with a more intuitive interface. Claude CoWork can access local files, connectors, and MCPs, executing tasks through a shell. To enhance the experience, users can utilize MCP connectors, which provide direct integrations with various tools and data. The Anthropic MCP marketplace offers a range of reviewed tools, and users can also add custom connectors. Rube, a universal MCP server, dynamically loads tools based on task contexts, reducing token usage and improving reliability. With over 900 SaaS apps available, Rube streamlines workflows and eliminates OAuth and key management hassles. Launched in July 2025, Claude AI Connectors transform the AI into a more personalized tool, and with Rube, users can access these connectors without the need for complex implementation, making it an essential tool for maximizing the potential of Claude CoWork.
