AWS Bedrock
Amazon Web Services (AWS) has introduced a new protocol for its Bedrock platform, enabling the creation of MCP agents. To utilize this feature, users must have an active AWS account, basic familiarity with Foundation Models and Amazon Bedrock, and specific technical requirements such as Python 3.11 or later and the AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) CLI installed. On April 4, 2025, a demonstration of the InlineAgent was conducted, showcasing its capabilities as a friendly assistant. The agent, named "hello-world-agent," was able to respond to user input and engage in conversation. The interaction involved 737 tokens, with 600 input tokens and 137 output tokens, and took 4.7 seconds to complete. This development has significant implications for the industry, as it enables the creation of more sophisticated AI-powered agents that can interact with users in a more human-like way. The use of Anthropic's Claude 3.5 Sonnet v2 model in Amazon Bedrock highlights the growing importance of AI technology in cloud computing.
