"Brightstar Strikes Gold, Literally, Gets Approval for Lady Shenton Mine, Because Who Needs a Map When You Have a Goldfield?"

Brightstar Resources has finally gotten the green light to start digging for gold at the Lady Shenton deposit in Western Australia, because who needs a treasure map when you have a whole goldfield to play with? The company's Menzies gold project, which includes the Lady Shenton deposit, has a total mineral resource estimate of 589,000oz, making it a crucial part of Brightstar's near-to-medium-term production strategy. With the approval of the Native Vegetation Clearing Permit (NVCP), the Lady Shenton deposit is now deemed "mine ready" and will be mined and transported to Brightstar's proposed carbon-in-leach processing plant in Laverton. The company's managing director, Alex Rovira, is thrilled with the approval, stating that it signifies a key milestone for the development of their Menzies assets, which will represent the first mining to occur since the successful Selkirk mining JV in 2024. Brightstar Resources is strategically positioned as an unhedged gold producer in a favourable gold price environment, with plans to develop both the Goldfields and Sandstone projects, aiming to become a multi-asset, mid-tier gold producer in WA.
