AWS Hero Spends 3 Days Building
The AWS re:Invent Map, a visualization tool for conference attendees, has been successfully deployed using AWS Amplify Hosting. The map, built to assist attendees at AWS re:Invent, displays locations such as hotels, restaurants, and session venues around the conference site. To deploy the map, a GitHub repository was created and the code was pushed to it, after which the Amplify Console was used to deploy the app. A custom subdomain was then configured using Route 53 and Cloudflare, and AWS WAF was enabled for added security. The re:Invent Map is now accessible via a custom domain, https://reinvent.dayjournal.dev. This deployment is significant as it showcases the ease of use and versatility of AWS Amplify Hosting. The Amplify Japan User Group has also announced the AWS Amplify Conference 2026, to be held on January 20, 2026, in Japan, which will explore the benefits of using Amplify for accelerating new ventures.
